A Kimono Thing

A few pictures from an engagement party I went to in the Camelia Gardens. Such a gorgeous day called for me to try out my new kimono. Totally made me feel like a hippie, I loved it. A day full of hanging with my best friend, champagne and feeding the ducks. Those type of childhood activities never seem to get old. xx

Not the greatest photos, but here's just a little taste of one afternoon spent at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I reckon you probably need a good three days here to really experience and appreciate every piece in this labyrinth of a building. Here are some of my favourite works which I just had to take a sneaky pic of. P.s I have no idea how other bloggers seem to take pictures here without anyone else in sight, its near impossible. December/Christmas Wishlist

1. Lover poppy flip dress - the cutest dress to ever exist.

2. Senso Bertina boots - I've always wanted white boots and loved the Bertinas so I figure these are practically made for me.

3. Zimmerman splatter top -  paint splatters reminding me of childhood in a luxe silky form mmm...

4. August Street cain shorts - sequins in the coolest form.

5. Nicholas leather skirt - I've found my perfect leather skirt, come to mamma...

6. The Casual Vacancy - The Potter books are my favourite so why not jump on board J.K Rowling's latest addictive treat. xx

Top Of The Rock

We arrived in New York two days before Sandy hit so during our first day we tried to pack in as much as possible. Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller centre, Central Park & Times Square. One of the very first things we did was go up and see the Top of the Rock observatory and my god it was worth it. Stunning views of all of Manhattan. I mean you know it's big but WOW it is big. Defintely a must-do in NYC, next time I'll be going up there during sunset :) xx

Black, White & Red All Over

A few things I picked up while in New York. Loving these shorts, they remind me of the Lover ones that I'm dying to have. And these spiked heels that are very like the Valentino ones that again I'm dying to have. Cute little room photoshoot detailing a very simple but classic outfit that will probably become my fall back during the holiday season. xx

Trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps

Just a few photos from my quick trip to the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps (we were leaving that afternoon so had to get all of our last minute sight seeing done). We visited them during the evening as well, and both sights were just crowded with so many people you could barely move. I quite liked having my own space during the day and being able to toss my wish coin into the fountain in peace. Very casual outfit but probably one of my favourites. Still adoring these shorts and paired with the best denim shirt in the world basically equals perfection. Have a good weekend everyone xx

Colosseo

Definitely more touristic photos rather than outfit ones, unless you count very extremely casual wear which sometimes I do. The Colosseum was truly magnificent, literally jaw-dropping goodness. Was kind of spectacular to imagine all the Gladiator-esque adventures that use to take place in this huge arena. We also explored the ruins next to the Colosseum which was actually the world's first marketplace. Pretty cray cray xx

Paisley At The Vatican

I've recently discovered that I can't wear pants. I've tried for so long and had never given up on the idea that some day they will magically look good on me. But that delusion is over. And now I've decided to grow my collection of jeans. Meet one of the newest additions. I couldn't go past this amazing paisley print at Zara (paisley being my new obsession and all).

These photos were of course taken outside St Paul's cathedral in the Vatican City. Such a sweltering hot day but totally worth it to see the Sistine Chapel and the incredible cathedral itself. The vastness of it is overwhelming, let alone all the detail that is actually in all those nooks and crannies. The Italians really know their stuff xx
